Customer Reviews

"To bad this place is up for sale. Gotta love the area, and to have a place so good, leaving... is sad. Clean, organized, great menu, fair prices, and amazing wait staff is a rare find. To locate a place such as this, with good customers and all the other attributes, so late in their history, just leaves me at a loss."

"Nice atmosphere and great waitress. Very friendly staff! Portion sizes are fairly small but with the prices of things today, it's understandable. Got the brisket and shrimp dinner. Brisket serving is 3 or 4 slices about the size of bacon strips. It was a little dry but tender. Minimal smoke but not a bad flavor. Literally, 3 pieces of shrimp and the green beans were in a lightly sweetened sauce/marinade. Not my thing. Coleslaw was ok and more like I like it, aka, not very sweet. Cornbread was a good filler and you can walk away feeling full enough. This review may come off as a little negative but it shouldn't deter anyone from trying the place out. (I hold a fairly high standard when it comes to brisket.) I can't state enough how great the staff was and I will be back to try other menu items."

"Simple, clean and friendly. Established bbq joint under new ownership with most of the old menu intact. I've visited twice, 5 years apart with different owners. The food has always been good, filling. Looks and tastes scratch made and specialty rolls from a bakery in PA really make the difference. Pricing is fair for the cuisine, or even less expensive for some items. Several homemade desserts are available and the bar is slowly expanding with a liquor license recently obtained."

"We went in the late evening after dinner rush on a Saturday. Service was friendly and atmosphere was bright and enjoyable. I had a half rack of ribs that tasted like they had been in the smoker all day and didn't sell till we ordered them at 7pm. One side was rubberized. The BBQ sauce was good. Was hoping for a second more homemade sauce. Wife had a brisket sandwich. The meals where filling and the sides were very good. Will definitely go back but at an earlier time to see if I can get some fresh ribs."

"Mama's Smokin BBQ in Stannards, NY, delivers a robust and satisfying BBQ experience. The smoky aroma greets you right at the door, setting the stage for hearty portions of tender brisket and pulled pork, bursting with flavor. The homemade sides, especially the mac and cheese, complement the meats perfectly. The rustic atmosphere and friendly service make it a must-visit spot for BBQ lovers."

"Went here for lunch one time by ATV and had a great experience. Most recently we took my 3 year old daughter here for her birthday dinner. The staff was so friendly, they brought my daughter a cupcake with a candle and sang happy birthday to her! They treat their customers like family and the food is excellent. I love this place, we will be back often!"
